West Cork History Festival

The West Cork History Festival will take place over the weekend of 9 - 11 August 2024 at the beautiful Inish Beg estate.

Our programme this year will have two broad themes: Aftermaths and Diaspora. The Festival will begin on the evening of Friday 9 August with our President Professor Roy Foster in conversation with Professor Margaret MacMillan. A highlight of Sunday 11 August will be novelist Thomas Keneally live from his home in Australia discussing with Miles Dungan his new book Fanatic Heart. There will be a wide range of other contributions from historians, curators, writers and other academics.

Tickets can be bought - here.
